That belies a rudimentary understanding of building demotion. Number needed is perhaps correct but this would need to involve three floors at minimum. All gutted, load bearing structures removed, collums wrapped in det cord. Tons would have to be removed. The strength was the exterior walls which had minimal support toward the middle.
It was a unique design.
So, that's why I don't cling to a conspiracy based on hokum like "planted explosives"
to intentionally destroy a $900,000,000 building for a motive that I've yet to see made clear.

I seem to recall a Structural Engineer s' explanation for how the Towers crumbled to the ground. This was a guy who was contacted by one of the major networks to 'weigh in" with his thoughts.
The jist of what he said is that once the 400,000 pound Jet hit the building at 100s of MPH...dumping 20,000 gallons of fuel into the mix..the collapse of the upper floors had a PILE DRIVER EFFECT THAT KEPT BUILDING UNTIL THE MOMENTUM REACHED GROUND LEVEL. IIRC he went on to say the structural steel must have been hot enough to DETEMPER and lose considerable strength.
I assume the vertical members were not "concrete encased"...?

Do you understand kinetic results of things travelling over 180 mph? location, location, location of camera and plane opposite ends off the axis. But then, like @Neo, I believe that three buildings, weakened by a combination of fire, external force and Easter Bunny eggs, fell in their own footprints to set records for the first, second and third buildings in history ever to do that.
I have lobbied my representatives in congress to investigate the demolition industry for fraud, since it is obvious their expertise is pretended, The truth is, no matter WHAT brings a building down, it falls in its own footprint. You could hit building with a **** JET, and it would land in its own footprint. Random DEBRIS will make a building fall in its own footprint.
All of these phony geeks running around with pocket protectors and clipboards pretending to "figure out" how to bring buildings down in their own footprints are putting on a show to con money from people who could just plant a bomb and walk away, saving millions.
