I consider myself independent, not one dedicated to a party platform. Can't seem to care about race, which seems to be at odds with both parties.

Really? My first choice in 2016 was doctor Ben Carson. Thought a natural followup to the first black president would be a black American with a completely different prerogative. Trump wasn't on my radar. Thought it was a publicity stunt to sell a new line of vodka or some **** that I wouldn't be interested in buying. I have never been a fan of Donald Trump. He was a reality TV and tabloid celebrity, he repulsed me.

I just don't believe voting matters. I side with elite theorists on their analysis of democracy. It is always just an illusion and a pressure release valve.

Anyone who wants things to change in the usa needs to find actual ways to acquire power...things more effective than voting.

Does it really matter?  We always elect the same people on both sides

every election they promise to fix the same things they promised to fix the last time...same people...same problems.....the other guy is the problem. 


We should have 50 nations each operating separately and forming their own alliances.  Let people decide how they want to live by moving where they get to do it.  That alone would easily destroy progressivism

Well democracy brought those gas prices down. Autocratic regimes wouldn't have any accountability without violent means. That's one example of why I support democracy.

It was tried under the Articles of Confederation. Without a strong central government things like the common defense can't be provided. Also, you would just break what you consider the problem into 50 problems that would probably lead to the downfall of the nation as a whole and the states at the same time.

Who cares.....our government is authoritarian and both side colluding to keep it that way....who's protecting the citizen?...that strong centralized government?...it just protects itself and the citizen is an enemy in the eyes of that strong centralized government
