One average hurricane all year hits Florida. In 2004, 4 hurricanes hit Florida. Is that your proof of Global Warming? There were less hurricanes this year than most other years. Ian was devastating because it hit a major metropolitan area, not because it was some kind of unusual hurricane. Do you really have a difficult time processing this information?

You realize that you're arguing against the law of physics. Nobody wins when they chose to make that argument.
But look at how powerful the storms are. Look at the increased pattern of destruction.Skans » 03 Oct 2022, 8:37 am » wrote: ↑ One average hurricane all year hits Florida. It was barely a cat 4 - most of it was cat 3, except right when it touched shore. Not even a Cat 5. Average hurricane which took place at the height of hurricane season for this are of the world since man became able to keep track of hurricanes.ScottMon » 03 Oct 2022, 8:49 am » wrote: ↑ But look at how powerful the storms are. I know a lot of people who don't think its a non-event. Its easy to dismiss it when you're not in the middle of it.Skans » 03 Oct 2022, 8:58 am » wrote: ↑ It was barely a cat 4 - most of it was cat 3, except right when it touched shore. Not even a Cat 5. If Ian made landfall 70 miles to the south, it would essentially be a non-event.
No matter how much you to believe that, the facts are plainly there and evident that we have changed the climate.Buffalo » 03 Oct 2022, 8:51 am » wrote: ↑ **** the physics!!! Climate change is a scam!!!
I said that if Ian had hit 70 miles to the south, it would be a non-event. In other words, there wasn't anything all that special about the hurricane itself. The extensive damage has much more to do with where it landed.ScottMon » 03 Oct 2022, 9:05 am » wrote: ↑ I know a lot of people who don't think its a non-event. Once again, Its easy to say that. But can you guarantee that Ian would be weaker if it wasn't for pollution? Science says no.Skans » 03 Oct 2022, 9:08 am » wrote: ↑ I said that if Ian had hit 70 miles to the south, it would be a non-event. Ian was an average hurricane, during a rather light hurricane season. If anything, it serves as proof that the Climate hasn't changed at all - same old same old.

We offshored our pollution, this thing didn't hit China. Pollution impacts environment, has little to no impact on climate. Why must we accept agw dogma to address threatening environmental issues? This cultist behavior doesn't help the environment.ScottMon » 03 Oct 2022, 9:11 am » wrote: ↑ Once again, Its easy to say that. Ian was an average strength hurricane - if you think otherwise, then I have no idea what on earth are you basing this on. The number of hurricanes to hit land in the Northern Hemisphere this year was less than average. Much worse Hurricanes have hit Florida:ScottMon » 03 Oct 2022, 9:11 am » wrote: ↑ Once again, Its easy to say that. But can you guarantee that Ian would be weaker if it wasn't for pollution? You dodged my question. without pollution, Would Ian be even weaker?Skans » 03 Oct 2022, 9:31 am » wrote: ↑ Ian was an average strength hurricane - if you think otherwise, then I have no idea what on earth are you basing this on. 1935 - Massive hurricane hit the Florida keys with winds exceeding 185mph
2018 - Hurricane Michael was a Cat 5 that devastated parts of the Florida panhandle.
1992 - Hurricane Andrew was a Cat 5 that devastated Homestead - zoo animals escaped - 175 mph.
1919 - Florida Keys were demolished by a Cat 4-5 Hurricane
1960 - Hurricane Donna - 175 mph Hurricane - destroyed Ft. Meyers, Naples, and much of Central Florida
2004 - Hurricane Charlie - 150mph then Francis, Then Ivan and then Jeanne all hit Florida inside of 2 months.

Nothing has linked Ian to Pollution. Furthermore, historically, Ian is a very average hurricane which occurred during a lower than average Hurricane season. I did not "dodge" any question. I provided you with historical facts and statistics to back up my claim. You simply choose to ignore the facts, the evidence, and ramble on about nonsense. Clearly, science and statistics are not your forte.ScottMon » 03 Oct 2022, 9:34 am » wrote: ↑ You dodged my question. without pollution, Would Ian be even weaker?
False. All rain stems from cold air and accumulation of humidity around particles in the atmosphere. The more particles in the atmosphere, the more likely the rain will accumulate. Pollution are considered particles.Skans » 03 Oct 2022, 9:47 am » wrote: ↑ Nothing has linked Ian to Pollution. No. Not in any direct correlated extent. The giant ball of thermonuclear baddassery controls 99% of climate. Geological forces contributes the remaining percentage. Of that 1% human activities impact less than 5%. Climate change has always been a control scheme given lip service by charlatans that know better as evidenced by their proclivity to own beach front properties and fly private aircraft.ScottMon » 03 Oct 2022, 9:35 am » wrote: ↑ The climate doesn't care about borders. IF and IF that were true what do you propose be done about it without destroying the earth and civilization along with it...or are you for that you **** idiot?ScottMon » 03 Oct 2022, 9:06 am » wrote: ↑ No matter how much you to believe that, the facts are plainly there and evident that we have changed the climate.
Off topic. Irrelevant. Not responsive to data and information provided by Skans which proves Ian was just an average hurricane which occurred at the height of Florida's hurricane season, one in which the number of hurricanes is well below average.ScottMon » 03 Oct 2022, 9:50 am » wrote: ↑ False.
