If God wanted to make it clear that he meant for the Jews to have their own country, surely it would merit a public appearance and announcement.

Jews didn't come from Egypt.  They basically are Canaanites, Phoenicians, and Judeans.  Look up the genetic origins of the Jews. For an Atheist, you put a lot of faith in the Old Testament book of Exodus (which is false, as it pertains to Jews living in Egypt).  The original Hebrew religion was more akin to proto-Zoroastrian - yet borrows nothing from Egyptian religions. Also, the language borrows nothing from Egypt.  Egyptian historians confirm that there is little to no evidence that there was ever a substantial Hebrew population in Egypt.

there were never any jews in egypt. This is because jews did not exist until egyptians left egypt. Jews were egyptians who converted to the religion of akhenaten and were forced to flee egypt during the civil war following akhenaten's death when people wanted to return to the old gods.

this is all quite obviously true but it is hidden from normal people because it raises serious questions about both jews and christianity. (and also implies egyptians arent black)
