Guess he could have run away from the thread like BV always does, so he is deserving of some credit.  Almost as rare as someone hitting 62 homers this year.

And speaking for myself, as a result of that he may just find himself treated with a bit more respect here.

Of course!  I probably have more optimism than most, however.  
I think it's simply a case of my believing that most liberals don't know and don't care enough to learn the facts and recognize the level of how gullible they are until something clicks in their head to wake them up.  And I'm happy to do whatever it takes (including being patient), until that eventually kicks in.  Right now, I think we're seeing exactly that, with the number of Americans who are fed up with the idiotic policies of Biden and the Democrats in Congress, and it will be proven out with the election next month.  Liberalism can dry up in a person like a fart in the wind when they see inflation setting records, gas prices setting records, crime out of control, the border wide open, and our demented "president" spending more time caring about Ukraine, climate change, transgender rights, and "equity" rather than about the real problems that are destroying our country.  And every day this **** goes on, more people are refusing to believe their lies and have become totally disgusted with this administration and will express that anger on election day next month.

I agree...but much of the public aren't the same as the leftists that show up on platforms like this.

True.  I have a couple of liberal friends and we get along great.  And at least one of them converted and voted Republican for Trump in the last two elections, so maybe I made some headway in getting through to him.  

In reality, most people don't let their lives revolve around politics, much to the chagrin of our more conservative politicians, but keeping people uninformed has always been the best strategy for liberals.

I too have a couple of liberal friends...we just finished our weekly walk on the nature trail.  These are my old band mates and we're going to get together and start playing some music again.

Me and my best fried are conservative and the other two guys are liberal, and we don't want politics to come between us.
