I've spoken about the conservative Supreme Court in other threads and of how their legitimacy, as an unbiased judicial institution has fallen into question, and RIGHTFULLY SO.

However, the Republican assault upon America's judicial branch of government goes way beyond the SCOTUS, beyond McConnell's deliberate blocking of Obama's Supreme Court nominee, beyond his threats to never allow a 9th justice should Hillary Clinton win the presidency, and even beyond Justices Scalia and Thomas sneaking off to Heritage Foundation pow-wows and other right wing, think tank, corroborations.

It is why it's NO coincidence that all SIX of the conservative super majority of the SCOTUS are or were members of the Federalist Society, the organization that has literally orchestrated and dictated the right winged judicial agenda.

Politico wrote that the Federalist Society "has become one of the most influential legal organizations in history—not only shaping law students' thinking but changing American society itself by deliberately, diligently shifting the country's judiciary to the right."

So the PLOT to reshape and mold America's justice system in their OWN image was there from the START..

For those inclined to tell ops what their threads are supposed to be about, YES, this thread is going to talk about the radical FAR-right Supreme Court - I'll talk about them a LOT, and badly. And again rightfully so. Nor am I alone.

In only 5 days I've amassed over TWO DOZEN articles of concern (and COUNTING) written by experts, analysts, and those in the field, TRUMPETING the well founded concerns of many, about the Supreme Court LEGITIMACY as an impartial body of justice.

But there will be other stories of the right's conspiracy to taint the judiciary as well.

As I wrote above the conservative HIJACKING of the judiciary goes far beyond the SCOTUS.  Take for instance, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, LONG a BASTion of good ol' boy southern CONSERVATISM,  Under Trump, the 5th Circuit is becoming even more conservative   With federal vaccine decision, the 5th Circuit lawlessly transferred executive power to a rogue judge. even before the coming of far right Trump appointee, Judge James C Ho, who reportedly has recently gone off the rails over the allegedly "woke" "cancel culture" nature of Yale Law School students, pledging never to hire another.

5. So Trump's lawyers wrote a specifically worded appeal to the SCOTUS, knowing it'd go directly to the justice overseeing the 11th Circuit, Clarence Thomas, whose wife is an accomplice in Trump's attempted COUP.

In a recent article appearing in MotherJones, author Pema Levy opines that This term of the radically right controlled SCOTUS will be all about white grievance, suggesting that the justices are poised to rule that the real victims of racism are white people. She writes:.

"From Donald Trump’s MAGA movement, to the deadly white nationalist riot in Charlottesville, to Fox News’ fear mongering over critical race theory, white grievance has become an animating force on the right. Now, it has officially arrived at the nation’s highest court.".

She further explains how during this term, the lopsidedly Trump appointed court will deal with at least FIVE cases that will ask whether laws enacted to protect minorities in fact victimize white people (she wrote 'racial minorities', but I believe the rights of other minorities as well will be in jeopardy)..

And troublingly enough, a key figure who will play a role in that is Clarence THOMas, a justice who has ALREADY demonstrated a history of siding with far right ideologies, and undermining civil rights legislation..

Not to mention husband of an election denying co-conspirator whose belief in the BIG LIE essentially is a denial of the LEGITIMACY of 7.3 MILLION MORE American voters and specifically that 90% of the Black vote that Biden won..

So THOMas's ruling, protecting yet ANOTHER Trump co-conspirator from ELECTION FRAUD testimony, is PROOF OF THAT.

Which is why it's of LITTLE surprise that legal experts from several quarters have expressed outrage at his obviously partial ruling, his clear conflicts of interest, and what they've labeled THOMas's CONTEMPT FOR THE LAW - for even granting a BRIEF stay..

Harvard Law Professor Laurence Tribe:.

"Thomas violated a federal law that requires any 'justice' to recuse when his or her 'impartiality might reasonably be questioned' or his or her 'spouse is known by the justice to have an interest that could be substantially affected by the outcome."."Thomas is giving the finger to the Court on which he sits, the Chief Justice and Associate Justices with whom he serves, the Constitution he interprets and the Nation that pays his salary."

Calling THOMas's actions "unlawful", Tribe tweeted:
  
"Thomas should have recused and passed the baton to another justice. "Even granting a brief 'administrative stay' showed his contempt for the law he is sworn to uphold. Period."

The publication described the case as "momentous." And a Harvard case headed to the SCOTUS is reportedly NOT about college admissions. It’s about white supremacy.
