No, it's designed to retire useless eaters and was manipulated for political reasons. The thing doesn't kill young people. It doesn't kill fit people. It was designed to clear the elderly off of socialist countries welfare rolls. Our failure, two years later, to call it a biological weapon only encourages those developing biological weapons to redouble their efforts. They could release captain trips, kill 90% of the population, and we would still be pointing fingers at each other two years later. Successful test run.

What they've learned is not to make such idiotic predictions within short periods of time that conclude within their lifetime, as they've done beginning in the '70's.
