As a one issue voter, I do not care if someone considers me a "useful idiot".  I care about where they stand on gun-owner's rights. As gun-owners rights are a unique manifestation of the US constitution, which is little understood by Democrats, Communists and Socialists, and even littler understood by foreign-born individuals, I find it to be a fantastic litmus test as to:

1) A person's understanding and respect for the Constitution as a whole and
2) A person's understanding and respect for why individuals need to own "weapons of war" to safeguard against criminals, foreign invaders as well as a rogue domestic government.

Those who do not understand this or refuse to accept it are not people I want governing any aspect of my Nation.

Bill Clinton only signed off on the Brady bill and the Federal Assault Rifle ban.  I know that this is personal for you.  

But Bill also fired Joselyn Goode for talking about masturbation in a medical sense, He supported Don't Ask, Don't Tell.  He stripped critical regulations from our economy.  He openly supported the DOMA which is definitely not liberal in any way.

Clinton was a fiscal conservative.  He balanced the budget.

Oh yeah, and I do favor legislation swiftly executing all recreational drug dealers and incarcerating drug abusers in an insane asylum until they have proven to a panel with me on it that they are cured.
