I think @Jinn Martini  tagged me on this thread.  My answer is "I have no idea if it works for you or not".  I would have to know:

• How would you intend to carry it? What kind of holster are you going to use?
• Are you good with carrying Glock-action guns?
• Is the 6+1 capacity adequate for you?
• Can you shoot a 9mm that small with decent groupings out to about 25-30 feet?

Being a Glock, the gun will do exactly what its supposed to do.  The rest is up to you.  When it comes to buying handguns, if I really want something I just buy it and shoot it.  From what I can tell they sell, slightly used, for about $400, which is what I'd be looking at.  FWIW, I only own one, old, Glock 17.  I mostly carry DAO 9mm pistols, but have a micro-40 SAO that I sometimes carry.

LOL!  Not as easy as it looks - "one of the guns" looks at first glance like an older Kimber Raptor. But, upon looking a little closer, I think it might be a colt with perhaps a custom slide.

The COLT in the photo is a Gold Cup. No modifications.

It is not a Gold Cup, unless the slide was customized.  I have 2 Gold Cups, and they do not look like that gun. Take a closer look at the slide serrations.  Kimber uses this (or a similar) pattern on its Raptor.  I've never seen those slide serrations on a Colt.  Take a look at the Kimber Raptor II:


Now, the one in your photo appears to be a full-sized 1911, but unlike the Raptor, it does not have the front slide serrations (Raptor has both front and rear slide serrations).   So, if it is a Colt, then which model is it?   If it has an aftermarket, custom slide, it will not have the Cold branding on it unless it came from their custom shop. 

I also notice the blued trigger on the one in your photo - Colt does not typically use a blued trigger on its stainless Gold Cups.  Not saying its impossible, just that I've never seen that.  However, look at the front grip serrations on the 1911 in your photo, it does not seem (hard to tell) to have the same front serrations as the above Raptor II.

PS:  I blew up the photo and the serrations have a hexagonal pattern. Could be a custom Wilson or Bear, or even a Kimber.  Just not a Colt Gold Cup.

It was very easy to identify the COLT in the picture.

****.  The one in the photo has a hexagonal slide serration pattern.  Yours has a slant vertical slide serration pattern.  NOT THE SAME GUN!!!
 
Also your front strap has no visible checkering or serrations.  The one in the original photo you posted does.  I do note however, that the one in the above photo does have the blued trigger and does have similar sights.  What I am saying is that I have never seen a stock Gold Cup with hexagonal slide serrations.  Maybe Colt made them???? I don't know - I just know I've never seen such a beast in the wild.

DUDE!!! You either swapped the slide out or the gun.  THE SLIDE IN THE ABOVE 1911 IS NOT THE SAME SLIDE AS THE ONE IN THE PHOTO YOU ORIGINALLY POSTED.  If it was, I wouldn't have questioned whether it was a Colt.  Yeah, I can download the photos and enlare them.  Don't try and pull that **** on me.  LOL!!!

I took the original photo, opened it in paint, shrunk it to 10% and then used the Snipping tool to take a picture of it, and saved it as low resolution to make it appear blurry. I didn't want a person to be able to open it, zoom, and read COLT on the slide. It is the same COLT 1911 and it is from the custom shop and it took me 3 years to get it because of COVID-19. Yes, it is mine. I have been shooting 1911's for 42 years.
 
Using logic, it was easy to figure out which gun in the original photo was the COLT.
Hell, I even put the iconic 1911 in it for a hint.

OK, but that does I can see what you blurred out.  But the slide serrations in the original photo are clearly a hexagonal pattern.  Did Colt's custom shop do that for you?  Is that an aftermarket slide?  I've never seen a stock Gold Cup with the hexagonal pattern. 

Also, there is a difference between a 1911 and a "Colt".  Clearly the gun in your original photo is a 1911.  It is not clear that it is a Colt. I was drawing upon that distinction based on the pattern I saw on the slide.

Ok, I believe you - original photo was altered to blur the Colt logo.  In the process, it really did make it look like it has a hex pattern on the slide.  As I am familiar with a lot of 1911's, it looked like the hex pattern used on a Kimber or custom gun; but not a Colt Gold Cup.

I even counted the serration lines, and the 1st picture had 6 lines of serrations, the 2nd photo had 7.  If you distorted and shrunk the photo, maybe that could have done it.  No sense in continuing to beat this dead horse.

On another note, my 2 Gold Cups ended up being safe queens, even though I never intended this for them.  One is a Series 80 with the ultimate (mirror) bright polish and the other is a pristine '74 blued series 70.  If I'm going to shoot a 45, I have an STI 2011 that I sort of like shooting.  Its just that I have a 9mm and 10mm that I like shooting a whole lot more.

I've heard a number of people tell me they can feel the difference in the triggers between a Series 80 and Series 70 - personally, I can't tell the difference.

Waiting on you to complete your case.  I agree that there is only one family of COLT style semi automatic sports rifles. It would be dumb not too agree considering COLT is the only company that can manufacture and sell a weapon named AR 15.

Umm, PP, this was not the discussion.  This is your diversion as you run from the Mar a Lago documents AND the lie you told concerning whether or not I reposted something.

As I said way back when I gave you those links there is only one family of COLT style semi automatic sports rifles. It would be dumb not too agree considering COLT is the only company that can manufacture and sell a weapon named AR 15.
