My wife of 35 years suddenly passed away, a few days back.

She reached 60+ years old.

We all thought I'd be the first to leave.
Which she dreaded  . . .  to be left alone back here !

But destiny wanted it otherwise.
After the police took away her remains I fell to the floor and couldn't get back on my own.
And a neighbor who came up to my shoutings for help called the police.

I still have still no idea what the police smashed to get to me !

The next thing I knew was  . . .  I was in some ICU and I peed all over me !
They did all the **** they wanted to do  . . .  blood, IMR etc. etc.  . . .  in the morning they came and told me I could go home !

I still have pain everywhere, though!

On the way out I was asked  at least ten times, at every corner,  if I had enough money to pay the taxy !
Which I didn't  . . .   but a loving neighbor was ready to pay the fare.

And so now I'm am here all alone  . . .  trying to cope with all the **** that comes with all that.

Thanks guys for your support  . . .  or lack of it.

I couldn't care less !

I understand your grief, and as it may sound cold hearted I will say this without malice or defamation of your sole or hers, I have no sympathy to give, but I do have empathy of your loss. I too have been married over 40 years to the only woman I dedicated my life too. She, Females live 7 years more than males, and I am 7 years her senior.

I did everything I could to set her up for those 14 years without me , yet society stripped the value of that coming up 4th time in last 23 years arriving next year.

Lesson about reality I learned on my own, Tomorrow can erase today's reached goals as fast as yesterday's dreams haven't arrived yet. Organized doubt teamed up with orchestrated chaos has in real time manifested a physical eternity Hell performed within this species last 7,000 years.

all accomplished by power of suggesting now isn't eternity and it always was.

Jinn, don't know if this helps or pisses you off, but if you have children, grandchildren understand 50% of your wife's time lives in each child as the other 50% is you, that drops to 25% each grandchild. Life as eternally separated isn't a miracle, it is perpetual balancing outcomes never same incoming details.

Not mystical or magic, just simply amazing. You had 35 wonderful revolutions around the star, I have had almost 42. Serenity will get you through these rough moments.

Peace of mind comes accepting what your brain navigates in plain sight.

that's rough man.  Last year I met a man who went thru almost the same thing.  His wife got out of bed early one morning and collapsed.  The man called 911 and it took them 30 minutes to arrive, she passed on.

He is now living alone, dealing with his own elderly infirmities, hoping his kids call more often, and bitter that nobody came faster to save his wife

It felt good.

Thanks again.

Damn, I feel so sorry for your loss... 35 years... you will cope with the **** but you shouldn't do it alone... get some friends or relatives to come over and get drunk together... that should help.. for a while at least... the morning after is bad but you should feel a bit better...

it is the situation, every lifetime faces. empathy. sympathy is a staged performance. Compassion is pure theater.

sorry to hear that....to lose someone that close to you is horribly devastating.

My father in law lost his wife a couple of months ago and he basically went home to die once the funeral was over.  We stepped in and didn't let that happen....took him a couple of months but he's got his will to live back and is actually doing quite well.  Find people you love and who love you.....eat well and don't sit around by yourself.

Finding someone who is in need and being there for them can be good for you as long as you don't expect much in return other than just the positive feeling you get from helping someone you care about.  He found a lady with a couple of kids to help out and a Marine who suffer PTSD....MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD ON BRING HIM BACK TO LIFE.

good luck to you
