evolution inevitably occurs...even if it is merely via genetic drift. Without question the genetics of modern san bushmen are a bit different from whatever they were 50k years ago. And all of the various branches of humans have altered over time. Some things change, and some do not.

Of course everyone is constantly evolving...just not at the same pace either physically or intellectually.
Look at what the African Bushman had for an average lifespan before White Do Gooders intervened.
They had to reproduce like cockroaches to offset their inability to survive by their own wits past an average age of 30.

yes...i just think your timeline for 'evolving' very advanced intelligence is not accurate. It can happen in just a few centuries. It can happen in a SINGLE GENERATION, if done deliberately by selective breeding.

people from colder climates tend to have a larger brain...this is an 'accidental' side effect of a higher protein diet. This makes higher IQ a bit easier to arise, but does not by itself make it inevitable. There has to be selective pressure for higher IQ.

for example, eskimos actually have the largest brains of any race. But they never evolved a high IQ. this is because they never had enough of a population to have selective pressure adapt for it.

You can take a carefully matched pair and create a super athlete or super mind...but that's not the same as elevating an entire  race of millions of people to the same degree in a short time frame.

well...its a question of scale, isnt it?

but managing such things requires a lot of nuance...because you need many roles for a successful human society. You cannot make a functional society where everyone is a genius. You need toilet cleaners, soldiers, farmers, etc


so the problem is more complicated than people might think, but not impossible.

You know why that is? No! Being cold keeps a person busy. On their toes..  And alert.

What a thoroughly dumb argument. Districting is based, or meant to be based, on rational ethnically balanced geographical organization. Districting becomes improper when lines are drawn for the purpose of destroying the balance that would be achieved by rational districting, as in configuring a district's lines to artificially lump racial minorities in a single district thereby diluting their voting power. Your idea that "ideas" are or should be a foundation of districting is amazingly stupid.

Are you granting that voting is simply a racial headcount? a result of demographics?

And therefore...not really about people having good ideas?

The reasoning in your argument didn't get high enough to go over my cat's head. No, districting isn't and can't conceivably be about "ideas", whatever it is you mean by that. It will always be a result of demographics but demographics consistent with state and federal law.

Lol...this is one of the saddest things about what I observe when I post little pearls of wisdom like this.

No matter how simple I make the idea and how articulate and clear the language is, there are always a few people who simply cannot 'get it'. Obviously because doing so would provoke too much cognitive dissonance and they simply aren't emotionally capable of it.
