Herbie and one of my favorite tunes of his..."Watermelon Man." He has a story behind the tune which is very interesting and quite ingenious.  This is worth listening to the entire thing. He plays his original version and his latest "hip" version.

I guess I don't assign any real importance to television commercials that make it imperative to be "aware of my surrounding." You're an advertisers wet dream if you put that much thought into an advertisement.

What you're seeing and what you do not get from conservatives is nothing more than our universal respect for the 1st Amendment, and we embrace it to the point where there are no concerns over who may get offended by the mere words we choose to espouse.  It may be my personal choice not to use the word "***" in speech or in writing, however I have absolutely no need whatsoever to call out someone else who does.  EVERYONE must determine for themselves how to express themselves in a free society and there should be nothing punitive for doing so.  If I'm personally offended by something you say, my option is to avoid dealing with you in the future so that I won't be further offended. PERIOD!  I do NOT have the right to force another person to accept MY definitions of which words or phrases are the only ones that may be used in my presence.  

And likewise, I am NOT responsible if YOU get offended by something I say.  Offense cannot be given, it can only be perceived by the recipient.  If someone takes offense at something I've said, I would politely tell them to "get the **** over it", because it's not my duty to either know or say only what makes you feel comfortable, nor will I ever care if it does!  And that is EXACTLY what both Obama and Biden have been attempting to inculcate into our lexicon for the past 14 years as the codify certain speech as a crime, and I personally refuse to tolerate it, nor will I ever accept it.
