Must help to think so. Also helps to edit a quote. For example, "free speech has little value if used to provoke animus to the Constitution." Doesn't mean such speech should be banned, just that it is valueless, even has negative value. The value is in the freedom not how it is used.

Freedom from what, specifically that isn't relative to social greater good concepts? Freedom to believe a spiritual intellectual soul is immortal and the host mortal ancestor is just a vessel each generation added as a sole replacement never the same addition again.

Good for your dad teaching you this early on in life. I learned it in my late 20's. Some people really do know how to fight....... better than me......and you can't tell **** by just looking at them.

I thought you were smarter than that. "Even if you grant" the edit? You cut off everything after "value". As explained the first time, it is the freedom to speak that has value, even if the speech itself has none. "Lies and plain stupidity" obviously do have none. Speech calling for the violation of any part of the Constitution may cause animus to the speaker; don't see why it would to the Constitution. The liberal animus involving the Second Amendment is focused on the amendment's interpretation
by the courts, not the language of the amendment.

In general, the First Amendment guarantees the right to express ideas and information.
