Maybe. I don't know though, because Hannibal was such a unique character. A lot of people, including myself, wanted to know his history and how he became what he was.

You're right. Exceptions are few.

The only one that comes to mind is the The Man With No Name Trilogy from Sergio Leone.
All classics.

                Agreed.... The Spaghetti Westerns with Clint are definitely exceptions.... The role of Tuco by Eli Wallach is a favorite..
