He seems to be suggesting that all research is created equal.SJConspirator » 28 Dec 2022, 11:27 am » wrote: ↑ I can't tell if you are sarcastically lauding research or praising willful ignorance.
IMO, being informed, doing research is a good thing, having educated opinion is good
I think he married the headmaster's daughter..

A man has a right to a beard in this cruel world.

I looked at the user LowIQTrash. He has 46 posts and 10k money. I then looked at his posts. I don't see any post where he got more than a handful of votes.
First, we are in agreement on that being a good thing.SJConspirator » 28 Dec 2022, 11:27 am » wrote: ↑ I can't tell if you are sarcastically lauding research or praising willful ignorance.

Basically, to blanket damn something would require more than "a bit".
I can see expressing a real dislike for what I found but,
I couldn't personally get so emotionally involved to damn them that intensely.
Starting a thread containing "analysis" and all...
Like months of research and polls and a team of experts came on board.
All because "a bit of research" . . . omitting, of course, "contempt prior to investigation".
The guy has won post of the day 20 times - that's 20,000 rep points, right there. Here are all 20, in order:
That one, I cannot explain. He has never won POTD. It's possible someone gave him money. LowIQTrash has less than 50 posts but close to12 k in reppoints - but I know for a fact he was given money, because I gave it to him.
There is no excuse for contempt prior to investigation. As soon as I know someone engages in that, I'm done with them. Not interested in finding out why - just done.DeezerShoove » 28 Dec 2022, 12:48 pm » wrote: ↑ . . . omitting, of course, "contempt prior to investigation".
Well he definitely IS a firebrand...I recall he went on Tucker Carlson's Fox News segment when the Covid-19 scam was going on and he said they should be forgiving all student debt + forgiving all rent payments + UBI for at least a year, at which point TC was too shocked to reply (obviously the little snake is opposed to any of those).Cannonpointer » 28 Dec 2022, 10:31 am » wrote: ↑ He's his own man - in no one's pocket. That's rare enough.
He calls out everyone - well, almost everyone - that I want to see called out.
He pisses off everyone who pisses me off.
I can assure you I have no "contempt prior to investigation" for any of them...I simply analyzed the quality of their arguments/if they made any content worth watching/if they have ulterior motives. I believe I am more than qualified to judge these personalities.DeezerShoove » 28 Dec 2022, 12:48 pm » wrote: ↑ First, we are in agreement on that being a good thing.

I am sure you have it figured out already, but many others have not, so I'll have to explain myself to the rest of the gang (sigh).SJConspirator » 28 Dec 2022, 11:17 pm » wrote: ↑ I see it as no different than the reams of ridicule and hate directed at CNN on this board. He is just targeting media figures on YouTube. Even Trump called the media the enemy of the people. I harbor a good bit of contempt for American media in general.
Yup. He don't play nice with ANYBODY. That's why I like him. He is his own man. He speaks his own truth. He cares not a whit for how this claque or that clique or those who cluck clock his clunky clobbering. "Let them clamor," he intones - "let my clarifications clabber into clostridiums, and let their clericalisms suffer claudications, for my sake."LowIQTrash » 29 Dec 2022, 1:27 am » wrote: ↑ Well he definitely IS a firebrand...I recall he went on Tucker Carlson's Fox News segment when the Covid-19 scam was going on and he said they should be forgiving all student debt + forgiving all rent payments + UBI for at least a year, at which point TC was too shocked to reply (obviously the little snake is opposed to any of those).

Now you call them "personalities".LowIQTrash » 29 Dec 2022, 1:31 am » wrote: ↑ I can assure you I have no "contempt prior to investigation" for any of them...I simply analyzed the quality of their arguments/if they made any content worth watching/if they have ulterior motives. As for being emotionally involved, I could care less about their political leanings/their personal characteristics. For example, I believe I was MORE than fair by claiming JR covers just about everything but is quite shallow in that his cross-examinations are not particularly strong, which allows certain individuals like Tulsi Gabbard (member of the WEF's "Young Leaders") to get away with propaganda. Or that Bernie Sanders is attempting to "start a revolution" but then urges his voters to throw their weight behind the candidate with a (D) next to their name when Sanders inevitably loses the nomination.
If they were amateurs or if they displayed that level of humility, then I would avoid heaping criticism on them. However, as per Dunning Kruger syndrome, many of them are not like that, and in fact, seem very confident in their (alleged) abilities.DeezerShoove » 29 Dec 2022, 11:56 pm » wrote: ↑ Now you call them "personalities".
So, what deep-thinker qualities do you expect from a quasi-celebrity "personality"?
They are obviously interesting personalities for lots of people to listen to repeatedly.
As such, they become easy targets to pick at. They're performers, not political experts.
Isn't your critique attempting to be Chris Kyle complaining about Moe's aim with a pie?
