In short, the former president of Russia, Medvedev, predicted that in 2023 there will be a civil war in the US over the succession of California and Texas. Musk will become president, and he will be credited for ending the war. Musk Laughed.

Two things:
1. These two states have been threatening succession for decades. Neither have even come close to making an attempt.
2. Most, if not all, of the Western states, especially my beloved state, couldn't care less if California left. So which states are going to fight them? We would send off California with a party.
Tesla and Twitter CEO Elon Musk interacted with former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Twitter on Monday after the latter came out with his predictions for the upcoming year. What Happened: Medvedev, who currently serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, made several predictions about 2023 including one where civil war breaks out in the United States leading to the secession of California and Texas. “Elon Musk [will] win the presidential election in a number of states which, after the new Civil War’s end, will have been given to the GOP,” said the former Russian leader.Musk reacted to the prediction by saying, “Epic thread!!”Laughing out at the thread, Musk said, “Lol” and set a reminder for a year later to “remind him” of the predictions.

The northern part of California would secede from California first.
Maybe the Greater Idaho movement will lend them some clues.

Then the lower third of California can become a trustee like Puerto Rico.
...always hoping to join the US.

ps
Then the US would become less vile and Texas would have more reason to stick around.
Please seat yourself.

Good analysis. Northern Cal is completely different than Southern Cal, in so many ways. Even Northern Cal hates that part of the state.

California is in debt and dependent on Western states for water. You can't drink fashion or movies.

They need America more than America needs them. Let's not forget that almost all of their farmers depend on Lake Mead, which isn't theirs.

Did you read what I wrote? California doesn't own the whole lake. It's divided into a legal agreement between several states and Mexico. If they secede, their ownership is 0%.

Yes.   I agree.  The Colorado River has turned parts of the arid, desert-like, Southwest into the Food Basket of America.
Gives 'Central Planning' and 'Government Built' (Socialism?) a wonderful idea.

How much more do I need to read?
Hoover Dam (a Government planned and built) irrigates the Southwest.
Also, as a side benefit, generates electricity.

There's also the 'Deport the Foreigners' plan.   That will help.
Anyone NOT born in California is deported back to where they came from.

Yeah I can see that happening. Perhaps they would deport toxic white cisgendered Christian males.

I visualize a 100 freight car train loaded with those born east of the Rockies being transported to Maine.
After dropping them off, burn the train so they can't return.  That would be a start.
