ha ha ha... no my parents gave me the keys - the old car- and told me to learn in the field.

Same here. When we were kids my dad owned a small ranch about 30 miles out of town. Me and one of my brothers would chase chickadees down the dirt road with dad's Jeep Wagoneer.

The kid had no clue what he was doing.
but he probably had the right to get gender surgery if he wanted it.

Exactly.  Did you see the meme of a little girl with a strange look on her face as she said, "I can't pick my bedtime but I can choose to have gender surgery?"

You never see the water turned off.
