Yep...we have that kind of thing here too.  I love this time of year.   

Every year.. like clockwork. Usually June 11th. The big turtles come out of the pond and lay their eggs on the side of the Road. we have Huge snappers up here.  Frightening. ancient ol fart turtles.
I'm not an outside fan- but the peepers are the two weeks- i am one with nature. Then the bugs come out- In the house i go.

I'll bet yer Mosquitoes are like B52 bombers in yer neck of the woods.  We have regular ones here.

oh no... We have something called Black Fly season- we have festivals... Teeny tiny things that swarm by the hundreds and bite- mosquitos are slow effers- easy.
Do you have these? You cant leave the house..
When I was young... We had a party at a camping ground.. All us wimmins hid in a tent... The things were crawling up the walls of the tent...hundreds!!!

It's a shame... When the weather gets good. And a person wants or needs to go out and do yard work. There they are!
Its so Bad---- I don't go out without a head net on- and a turtleneck and a hoodie! If I want to mow...
They are so bad.... they will make a person literally sick...
 We picked up a delirious hitch hiker walkin the Appalachian trail.... on the road.... he had black fly fever.....
