Those CZ pistols are nice.
I didn't know that CZ made a 10mm?Squatchman » 13 Apr 2023, 10:24 am » wrote: ↑ Those CZ pistols are nice.

I'm still looking at 10mm. in the 1911 platform.
The Sig P22 hunter is interesting.
Thanks for the heads up.PlumHollow » 21 Apr 2023, 10:12 am » wrote: ↑ I notice a few sites with ammo "on sale".
Then go to some familiar places and see the same caliber "out of stock".
That can't be anything but a huge flag that the "on sale" stuff is a complete scam. There are sites that claim to keep a record or judge the sites that scam. Many more scammers than I thought. Their common tip: Too good to be true **** and clickbait is really bad out there.
I bit the bullet so to speak. Bought a bunch of 5.7x28. **** it.Skans » 25 Apr 2023, 2:32 pm » wrote: ↑ Thanks for the heads up. I have ordered ammo from ammoman . com. (space left so as not to create a link). Prices are about what I'd expect. 5.56 for about .50/round. 9mm $285/1000 rounds. Fair prices, but nothing spectacular.
I need to stock up on more 9mm and .308. Some more cheap 5.56 would be good too. I have enough 7.62x49, which I hardly ever shoot. I only have one AK variant right now and don't plan to buy more. My favorite rifles to shoot are all 5.56 or .308.
I would like to have a nice stockpile of defensive 9mm, 40, and 10mm. I've never been a big 45 fan - shoot very little of it. When it gets right down to it, I'd be fine with only having 9mm and 10mm semi-auto handguns. If they still made steel-core 5.7, I'd definitely be into having a 5.7 handgun.
Typo, 39.DeezerShoove » 27 Apr 2023, 11:22 pm » wrote: ↑ I bit the bullet so to speak. Bought a bunch of 5.7x28. **** it.
Price won't drop enough anytime soon to make me feel like a dope.![]()
You did a typo on the 7.62 x 49 ammo? It's either 39 or 54.
Here is a photo of a very elusive knife that goes with a very odd-duck rifle. The knife is serial-number matched to the gun. Can you guess which rifle this goes to? Clues:PlumHollow » 03 Jan 2023, 5:50 pm » wrote: ↑ Interested shooters.
Neat stuff. Gadgets and how-to's.
Sarcasm is one thing but blowhards get the exit.
A fun exercise to educate, teach, show off yer stuff maybe.

Good ammo, I hope.DeezerShoove » 27 Apr 2023, 11:22 pm » wrote: ↑ I bit the bullet so to speak. Bought a bunch of 5.7x28. **** it.

Did you ever find an IR scope?
No.
I was just curious if you'd reached a decision on one.Skans » 10 Jun 2023, 9:37 am » wrote: ↑ No. I got sidetracked, but I do still want one for Coyotes. I'm going to take another look on Ebay and Aliexpress today. My budget is only $300, and I want to see what i can get for about that.
I am hoping that it will allow me to shoot a wildcat and coyotes that sometimes come onto my property.DeezerShoove » 10 Jun 2023, 4:28 pm » wrote: ↑ I was just curious if you'd reached a decision on one.
Not sure if I want another toy.
I recently purchased a FLIR camera/recorder. Pricey little thing.
What I thought was cool was the attachment gizmo for an iPhone.
Then I started a deeper dive. $200 for a complete piece of crap.
Co-witness thermal w/outlines was nonexistent. Cheap isn't necessarily worth it.
At least the attachment I saw really sucked. A dedicated piece made all the difference.
The one I got is sweet.
You can see dog's damp foot prints on carpet and a rug also on carpet.
IOW differences in temp and same temp items for reference. An imperative for quick interpretation.
With that attachment it would be just temperature blobs. Maybe useful sometimes, I suppose.
I don't know if an IR scope would suffer similar issues.
Have any of you seen an ATN X-Sight?
Ha! A liberal talking about guns? Squirt guns don't count, groomer. And no, I'm not talking about your little pecker.Squatchman » 13 Apr 2023, 10:24 am » wrote: ↑ Those CZ pistols are nice.

I love vintage wood and steel weapons! LOve those old top break wheel guns. 9 round is great too.
I think its variable, but I'm not sure.
