@Taipan , @Imgreatagain , @impartialobserver , @ROG62 . Did I forget any of the others from Dot-Org that might know more than me?
What does it cost to host the site?Imgreatagain » 24 Jan 2023, 6:08 pm » wrote: ↑ pretty much. I haven’t spoken to kfools in a few days.
$1500 to buy it and $100 a month.
the money isn’t the problem- it’s more about the point.
what would be the point?

Wish I could, but other obligations keep me from doing it.Taipan » 24 Jan 2023, 5:19 pm » wrote: ↑ If you will buy it today,

No, I am not jackin' .
My word on the line.
I liked the forum. It was a good place to debate for many years. Maybe it's the platform or the hosting that creates problems. I don't know. At one time Kfools had a decent crew running the place. When the guy who owned it prior to Kfools had it, it seemed to run pretty well. Now, with all of the month-long shutdowns, of course no one is interested.Imgreatagain » 24 Jan 2023, 6:08 pm » wrote: ↑ pretty much. I haven’t spoken to kfools in a few days.

The previous guy let it go down just as kfoo has done - even lost a **** ton of content. Then his admin - a guy named chunk - demonized misty, and lied to the board that she was responsible for the missing content, having deleted said content as part of a hissy fit.Skans » 24 Jan 2023, 9:33 pm » wrote: ↑ I liked the forum. I lost quite a number of iconic threads in the deal, and I left in a huff. Misty and A.L. were senior mods there - now they are senior mods here. I was a senior mod there. Now I'm admin, which is just like a senior mod, but with an orange screen name and an even bigger chip on my shoulder...
.org was pretty great - until it wasn’t. Like most things in lifeNostradamus'omh » 25 Jan 2023, 6:57 am » wrote: ↑ build a new one. quit trying to ride in another intellectual trojan horse.
