In Africa the average iq is around 70. In the usa for blacks it is around 85.

similar such tests have been conducted on other populations where actual DNA was measured rather than family history. I believe a major one was actually among central/south American populations. 

Consistently the more African the lower the iq.

This also is true regardless of socio economic status etc (poor whites have a higher average iq than rich blacks)

bear in mind that separate studies haveb3en dome to compare a person's self reported race to their actual dna...and it is accurate over 98% of the time. So self reporting on race is considered quite accurate. (And the people who are incorrect the most on such studies are people with vast majority European ancestry...such as Elizabeth Warren pretending to be native american)

That is a thought provoking response. I would really like to delve into one of the studies.  They would have to be published in journals somewhere.  Even so, such publications rarely, if ever, allow folks like us access to their raw data.  They would have to submit it for peer review, and the selected "peers" would have access to the data.  Most, however, would likely glaze over it with their own biases one way or another.   I think I could look at it objectively, mainly because it is a genuine curiosity of mine.

Are you saying there's no research showing blacks having lower iqs than normal people?

I have read where people have cited to such research.  You can even find references in Wikipedia and maybe portions of a journal article written by the researcher on the subjects.  But, I have yet to see the actual data gathered from the studies.  Data which correlates percentage of white/black DNA with IQ test performance.

its a big subject and very scientific and i wouldnt know where to start...there really have been hundreds of studies.

and academically...it is somewhat taboo to research such stuff so they are somewhat quiet about it and the material can be difficult for normal people to access.

I can tell you one trick that makes a google search miuch more easy and does address taboo questions...just include the text "scholarly articles" in your search

The studies are hard to find, that's really why I've asked.  I would like to read the more recent of these studies; i.e. the ones involving genetic sampling.   I understand that, presently, the subject is taboo. The question, however, is completely legitimate - is race a major factor in an individual's intelligence?  And, if so, to what extent and how well is it correlated?  People are always trying to convince us this is true with anecdotal evidence, but such evidence is shallow and easily refuted.

If there are such studies, as you suggest (and I believe there are), studies based upon genetic sampling, then I have to also question how these studies were conducted and who funded them.  Is there inherent bias in the study(ies)?  Do they stand up to critical scrutiny?  How accurate is the data?

Obviously such studies would be extremely dangerous. If true, the Negroid race would be severely stigmatized as inferior, and this would be supported by irrefutable scientific evidence. Negroids and Caucasians (and/or Asians) would not be able to co-exist as they do today.  I can't see government, or liberal institutions, funding or publishing such studies.

Modern science actually does have in depth knowledge of such stuff. Not only are they aware of racial differences in iq, they also know many of the specific genes are responsible for such things ...you can literally estimate a person's iq from simply getting a dna sample from them. 

Despite the fact that this work is not politically correct...it is still considered important for certain powers...so it is allowed. As long as it is isolated from the public with enough fancy jargon...and never mentioned in any sociology classes.
