The borders of California were created by men, not geology. There is a YUGE distance between Yellowstone and any part of California.

I've noticed a lot of people from NoCal end up moving to Washington State. They are used to the rain.
People from SoCal ... they move to Arizona or Nevada. Maybe it's the 'desert weather'?
