Over 4,000 children die in the United States every year from drowning.  Democrats want to ban swimming pools.

1 in 3 families with children have at least one gun in the house. It is estimated that there are more than 22 million children living in homes with guns.
1 in 3 families in Florida have at least one pool at their house.  All condos and apartments have pools.  Democrats want pools to be locked inside of safes to prevent kids from drowning.

Most of the victims of unintentional shootings are boys. They are usually shot by a friend or relative, especially a brother.
Most of the drowning victims are Black.  They usually drown because they don't have fathers or relatives who can teach them how to swim.

Nearly 40% of all unintentional shooting deaths among children 11-14 years of age occur in the home of a friend.     Adolescents are at a higher risk for suicide when there is a gun in the home.
Nearly 90% of all unintentional drowning deaths involve children from 0-18 years of age and some occur in the homes of a friend.  Adolescents are at a higher risk for drowning when there is a pool in the home.

It's funny how they changed the "children" stats to people 19 years and under. I thought 18 and 19 year olds are adults.

Take out Chicago, Detroit, New Orleans, Newark, E St Louis and other such cities, and that number free falls.

Do the 1300 death occur in the home? No, no they don’t, your source has an agenda.

Here is more fun with statistics (sort of):
Most car accidents happen within 25 miles of home. Pretty scary, huh?
This is pushed so you get insurance and attorneys and ****.

I alway hated that phrase because MOST people are usually within 25 miles from their home MOST of the time.
So that is true. Of **** course. That's why.

Also, another absolutely frightening fact:
EVERYONE will die of saliva.
It takes repeated small doses over an extended period. YMMV.
Please seat yourself.

1300 out of 22 million is .006%

I would say that swimming pools and swing sets pose a bigger risk to the kiddos than firearms in the home.

It's also because the only way you can get into a head-on collision is being on a non-divided highway.  That means driving on local roads.  Highway driving is much safer.

300-400 kids 5 and under die each year when they drown in 5 gallon buckets and toilets. You know what to do next.

I would like to see a demographic breakdown by City v. Rural.  Rural areas generally speaking have a different culture pertaining to firearms.  They teach their children gun safety at a very early age.  The school systems offer gun safety classes as well as hunting safety.  Many of the stories you hear is a child in an urban environment where the parents hide the gun.  The parents have never discussed safety with the kids. The gun is new and exciting to them.  Where in rural areas that mystery was eliminated at an early age.

I also read the gun tips portion of your article.  Sounds like it was written by an anti gun elitist liberal in a city.

  • Democrats call for the banning of travel, and the banning of HotWheels tracks being sold to children. They continue to push Mr. Potatohead as a positive role model, because he-she-it has removable parts.

I think dems recognize 12 as the age of consent for abortion and junk removal - but use different ages when convenient.
