Because to get the warrant, you have to explain what specific offenses are at issue.

And we know the FBI repeatedly lied to get warrants to spy on Trump.
Why wouldn't they continue to lie?   

Not to mention the judge that granted the warrant, had previously recused himself from Trump cases because he was too biased.

According to past rulings by the Archives, the President makes that decision.
