True.  But, that was a long, long time ago.  Things have changed.
Monarchy gals and guys tend to be republican or democrat and the jivers always categorize people into groups. The serfs continue to pay large corporation lords huge subsidies with republican or democrat leadership even after the well subsidized lords are openly removing and replacing the serf population.

Sorry if that was too long, you can banish me, that's how monarchy works.
We do not live in a monarchy - never have in this country, and there are no serfs.  No slaves either, for that matter - not for 160 years.

I understand that, and if this were the 1700's, I might agree with you.  Things change, the meaning of words change.  Liberal now means someone who wants open borders, no enforcement of laws, recreational drugs for free (or cheep), and to liberally have sex with anyone or anything they want and have others acknowledge it as "normal".

I would probably be considered a liberal by 18th century definitions.

This is evidenced by the fallback response in an argument:
"Gee, it just doesn't have to be this way."

Whether or not that creates or maintains a progressive mindset is irrelevant.
You made an interesting point.  It is interesting because that one trait likely serves to distinguish leftists from liberals.  Liberals live in a bubble, and elitist fantasy land.  They have more than they think they need and they feel irrationally guilty about it.

Leftists just want what you have and will use politics, the law and criminal activity to get it - they live in the streets, gutters, brothels, bum camps and crack dens.

Sounds like a conservative actually.

well except the punishment thing-y’all fetishized that ****.

There are consequence in everything you do in life. Just bcuz a woman becomes pregnant does not mean she consents to the pregnancy.

Besides-babies are not innocent, original sin is something you believe in. You know, it’s sort of like reparations but in reverse.

Unless she's retarded or has been raped, it does mean that she has consented to the consequences of having sex with a man.  Even if she chooses to kill her fetus/baby, she still got pregnant as a direct consequence of having sex with a man. Therefore, she did in fact consent to the pregnancy.

Original sin represents the flaws all humans have in comparison to our perfect Lord. God could have made man and women perfect, in his image, but he decided to let our species try and learn from our mistakes and evolve to be more like Him over time, if we can.  That is why He gave us free will. Innocence in terms of babies is nonsensical.  Babies are new Humans - purely instinctual beings without any knowledge of rules, laws, right, wrong, etc.  Innocence and guilt pertain to a fully developed human's ability or inability to live within the confines of man's laws.

Debating talking points, single word of vocabulary, doesn't resolve issues creating natural conflicts of interpretation between lifetimes never same results twice evolving individually forward here now.

Liberal is as much an adjective as it is a noun defining a type of behavior assumed after birth simply born a replacement for a specific ancestral lineage forward living currently here within the living 5 gaps present.

Every generation gap has liberals in both male and female displacement by race, creed, color, national origin, and the rest of vocabulary misrepresenting life evolving forward in plain sight.

Genetics works living reproductions to mutually evolving since conceived to replace their previous 4 generation gaps added since inception of this species into this atmosphere.

Simple compounding DNA results timed apart by the moment here regardless which timezone one is ancestrally occupying space adapting to the moment here.

Everyone believing anything else is possible reciting relative time logistics is typecast into their own interpretaiton life exceeds evolving here now as spontaneously never the same details twice forward as total sum present and "accounted" for their one time genetic displacement never same form added a fertilized cell.

Common since every reproduction ever lived or living never exceeds being alive now. Universal constant past, current event, next generation should there be one "tomorrow".

Tomorrow is a metaphor for next generation added. that son or daughter is also a grandchild, great grandchild, great great grandchild in the same time living that could evolve into 1 of 2 parents or not, might become 1 of 4 grandparents or not, etc. Life only evolves in series parallel displacement here.

always has, but no reality admits it historically or currently. here you are defending character, not ancestral time displaced equally balancing in same space same moment your body is never same total sum again as mine always evolving forward here.

ssdd. In reality honesty and good deeds never go unpunished by those managing reasonable doubt inception to extinction.

At least with 'America Inc.' you get a turn over at the top.
Putin, Kim Jong Un, Mohammad bin Salman, or King George, not so much.

What a great misdirection, genetics doesn't deliver equal incoming ancestors so why does humanity come off demanding equal outcome socially? Living isn't fair, just balancing between extreme forms of denying genetics eternally separates current populaiton.

The crucial flaw in your logic comes down to one word, "should". Perception gets in the way of such a lofty goal. Besides, politicians care deeply about being viewed as the hero and savior.. I know, I have heard it straight from the horse's mouth. That demands that we cater to certain groups.
