You mean.the republican had the house and the senate and passed no legislation to fix the problem for good. 

Sounds like they didnt want to fix the problem at all. 

Yep. They passed tax cuts for their donors.

     Our state sent every Mainer 850$ and I got a 1099!!
I took that money and paid part of the property taxes with it.
