I would shut down the government for 2 years. Then, when it reopens, I wouldn't pay any back wages for "forced vacations".  And, we better have at least 20% less government.  Republicans could do this.  They should do this.  They owe it to their constituents and to the real American People.

the armed forces just all go on sabbatical?  Everyone goes home, the ships get tied up pier side, including the boomers?  Maybe the air force could make some pocket change by running a low cost airline?  Jump seats and MRE's for the paying passengers?

Yep.  They aren't doing **** worthwhile right now.  Give them a forced vacation.  Unless they are defending our borders, which they aren't, they ain't earning their keep.
