TRUE! Like the Schizoid who threatened to kill my best bud and his family with an AR-15. He hears voices in his head as a little girl who tells him what to do. They held him on a 3 day hold(51-50) but he got out and it cost him his job as a welder, he lost his trailer, and what few friends he had. His uncle took him in and employs him at something.
This morning, my roomie threatened to kill people if he became homeless, and has a loaded .357 Magnum at the ready, and is noted for rages and a hot temper. He has been cut off from disability and cannot pay rent! YIKES! I should report him!    

I would recommend- stay out of his way for a few days.

There is no solution.  In a more primitive society, these people would be left to die or exterminated.  In a far more advanced society than what we have today, they might be able to be treated or even cured.  We're sort of stuck in between systems of being able to effectively deal with such people.

Weight gain is one reason, but not quite the determining factor for schizophrenics.  They go off the meds for two reasons, from what I understand: 1) because the meds they take at the dosages that work make them feel like ****; and 2) because the hallucinations go away, so they think they can do without the meds.

The last non-related roommate I had was in college.  He and I got along.  Also, his girlfriend and my girlfriend were also roommates, so that worked out even better......No, we didn't swap.  I would have, but the girls weren't into it.

Must be Taipan the brawler. there is a third option, you take handfuls of painpills figuring everyone else does it too. When you go doctor shopping for perscription meds, you have fake id or borrowed other people's without asking.
