Indiana parents have been charged after a tragic shooting incident where their 5-year-old son high on coke accidentally killed his 16-month-old brother.

On Wednesday, authorities arrested and charged Deonta Jermaine Johnson and Shatia Tiara Welch in connection with a heart-wrenching incident that occurred months ago. During the unfortunate event on March 28th, Johnson, the toddler’s father, was in the home. Regrettably, he was asleep on the couch when the 5-year-old boy gained access to a handgun and tragically shot 16-month-old Isiah Johnson in the head. 

The toxicology results showed that the toddler had marijuana in his blood while his brother tested positive for cocaine. Additionally, officers discovered approximately 93 fentanyl pills within the reach of the 5-year-old boy inside the apartment.

The NYPD has opened a hate-crime investigation into the stabbing death of a professional dancer who was killed in a gas-station fracas while voguing in his swimsuit, the New York Daily News reports. A witness told the newspaper that a group of Muslim men assailed O’Shae Sibley, 28, for dancing shirtless as he refueled in Brooklyn, sparking the fatal fight.

Ray Lewis III’s cause of death has been revealed. According to TMZ, an autopsy found alcohol, alprazolam — the generic name for Xanax — fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine...in his system during his death.

Deangelo Palmer strangles wife with belt while swinging her around room by neck

26-year-old Deangelo Palmer was jailed on July 23rd after brutally assaulting his wife at their home on White Birch Court. Jaquala Hayes told police on July 22nd Palmer became angry, grabbed a belt, looped it through the buckle, and strangled her with it. She described the room getting dark and having difficulty breathing until she was able to get her hands in between the belt and her neck to create room. Once her hands were between the belt, he swung her around the living room, then took the belt from around her neck and started whipping her with it. Police observed a bruise on her left arm that was visible from the day prior.

Woman celebrates 114th birthday with 5 generations of family

A woman in Texas recently celebrated her 114th birthday in style, with five generations of family members by her side. Elizabeth Francis, born in 1909, is what's known as a "supercentenarian," a person who has reached the age of 110 or older. Despite her age, Francis said she feels young at heart, telling local ABC station KTRK-TV, "I'm very, very young. Look at me, I'm like a little young chicken." When describing the secret to her longevity, Francis said she never drank or smoked, but ate "everything."

Also by her side celebrating her birthday this week was her 94-year-old daughter, Dorothy Ray Williams. "It's hard to believe, but it's a blessing," Williams said of her mom's long life. "Because she has been a wonderful mother and grandmother to all of us. She has been our backbone."
