A husband-and-wife duo allegedly slaughtered four family members on Halloween 2015 and made pointed, emotional comments directed at the supposed "killer" just days after the quadruple murder.

“I don’t understand why any of it has happened and I just keep thinking it’s a dream I’m going to wake up from,” she lamented. Whoever did this, I don’t see how you can live with yourself," Amy Vilardi told local news outlet WYFF-TV a couple of days after the murders and thanked the community for their support. Amy, who lived at the time on the same property as the victims, but in a separate house, was the one who called 911 on Nov. 2, clamming to have stumbled upon the blood-soaked scene.

A few days later, she sat down with the television station WYFF4 and described the moment she said she found her loved ones’ bodies.  “When I went to knock on the back door, the door just pushed open so I walked in and it was dark and I just flipped the light on and there they were. They were just… they were there,” a seemingly shaken Amy said, with her husband sitting beside her.

In another interview at the time with the news station 7News, Amy said her murdered relatives were “wonderful people” who “just didn’t deserve this.” Over the intervening years, the Vilardis have denied any connection to the killings.

Drunk driver who killed teens hours after being paroled for intoxication offenses will spend decades behind bars

A Texas man who was reportedly celebrating his release from prison after serving time for multiple drunk driving offenses when he slammed into a group of teenagers — killing two and injuring one — will spend half a century behind bars.

Mason Nelson and Sam Mixon, both 14, were killed after Keith Aaron Brazier, now 29, plowed his SUV into a Jeep carrying the teens on Sept. 2, 2022. According to Galveston County officials , the crash happened in front of Ball High School, where the teens were students. Brazier was “speeding and driving while intoxicated when he ran a red light” and struck the Jeep, officials said.

Brazier pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of murder and one count of intoxicated assault with a vehicle. He was sentenced that same day to 50 years behind bars. Officials say Brazier was driving with a blood alcohol content of .217, more than twice the legal limit, at the time of the crash.

A teenager reported missing from North Carolina weeks ago was found hidden beneath a trap door in a man’s house in Kentucky on Christmas Day, with police believing she had been kidnapped and raped, according to multiple reports.  

Zackary Jones’ mother had called the police about an altercation between her son and his "girlfriend."  The girl, of Fayetteville, was reported missing on Dec. 6 and was found inside a trap door hidden under a rug in a bedroom, according to Fox 56, referring to an arrest citation.

Officers decribed her as very high and she told police Jones had been having sex with her, choking her and assaulting her. He allegedly then threatened to shoot or kill her several times and demanded she tell people she was 18. She told authorities he had a .22 caliber pistol that the police retrieved from the scene.

Luster said as deputies looked around the home for her, cocaine was found. Jones attempted to quickly dispose of the drugs in a wood stove found in his bedroom. After that, deputies arrested him and placed him in a cruiser.  Jones has been hit with more than 30 different charges, including rape, unlawful imprisonment, resisting arrest and illegal sex act with a person under the age of 18. .

In Kentucky, Jones is facing 10 third-degree charges of rape and another 10 third-degree charges of sodomy. He is also charged with using an electronic device to entice and lure a minor across state lines.  Further charges for Jones are for assault, strangulation, unlawful transaction with a minor (illegal sex act), unlawful transaction with a minor (illegal controlled substance), possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), and resisting arrest.

Cops: Dad Dropped Off Gifts for Kids, Shot Ex's Boyfriend

A Detroit man is being held on $1 million bond after his attempt to deliver Christmas presents to his kids turned violent. Police say Deandre Lawrence, 23, got in a fight with his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend when he went to a home in Macomb County on Christmas Day with gifts for his three children, WXYZ reports. Lawrence allegedly shot the man in the back twice, leaving him in critical condition, after he tripped and fell while fleeing the house. Police said Lawrence then fled the neighborhood on foot and was arrested the next day.

Authorities say his previous felony convictions include home invasion. "Violent actions have no place in resolving disputes. Our thoughts are with the victim and his family," Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido said. "We will work to ensure accountability for this terrible Christmas Day shooting." If Lawrence is able to post the $1 million bond, he will be fitted with a GPS monitor and banned from contacting the victim and witnesses.
