Christopher James Casey, 55, was charged Thursday with causing the death four days earlier of Robert Wallace, who the coroner found had been stabbed several times.

Wallace, 62, removed a screen from a window in Casey's home and opened the unlocked window as Casey was eating dinner Sunday, and after a verbal confrontation Casey stabbed him in the chest with a large, military-style knife, according to Upper Moreland Township Police and Montgomery County prosecutors.
Police said Casey told them Wallace had not been menacing him or threatening him when Casey stabbed him in the doorway of Casey’s home. They had been having “personal issues” for the past year and a half — prompting several police calls — over Wallace's complaints about his snoring, Casey told investigators during an interview Sunday night at Abington Hospital.

After about 20 minutes of speaking through the window, Wallace appeared to calm down and wanted to shake hands and offered to help pay for nasal surgery to alleviate Casey's snoring, Casey told police, according to the affidavit. Casey unlocked his front door, holding a knife and stun gun under a blanket.

Casey was charged with third-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter and possessing instruments of a crime. He remained jailed Friday with bail set at $1 million. No lawyer was listed for him in court records. Prosecutors and police could provide no information about whether Casey has a defense lawyer.

SPRING HILL, Fla. - A property line dispute between two neighbors in Florida took a turn after one woman was arrested for allegedly striking the other with a hammer, according to deputies. The conflict erupted as Kelly Figueroa of Spring Hill was hammering down lawn stakes in preparation for installing a fence, an arrest affidavit from the Hernando County Sheriff's Office said.

The 58-year-old woman was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after the incident that unfolded on Dec. 29 in the 7000 block of Toucan Drive. When deputies arrived, Figueroa said she and her neighbor have been involved in several incidents amid an ongoing dispute about the property line between their homes. On the day of the incident, Figueroa said she was placing lawn stakes in her backyard for placement of a fence to be installed when she was approached by her neighbor who she accused of pushing her.

This used to be a great forum over a decade ago with open minded progressives having serious discussion. Slowly a couple of right wingnuts worked their way in and have infiltrated and completely taking over the forum by bringing in more and more repulsive slobs.

They're foul mouthed, ignorant and brag about how they've driven liberals off, and I guess I have to hand it to them, they came in and drove all but maybe 4 liberal members off the forum. You'd think the owners of this **** would do something with membership having plummeted in recent years.

I implore you good people to go over there and take this forum back and make it a True Liberal Forum as it once was. If I'm breaking any rules by posting this please remove it.

A massive, 90-day sting operation in Florida has led to the arrest of 123 men in relation to human trafficking, and as commentators online were quick to point out, none of the arrested appear to be drag queens.

The men were arrested after allegedly soliciting sex from undercover agents posing as minors, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said last week in a statement, most were message board owners but also among them being a church grief counselor, an elementary school teacher, a nurse at a substance abuse clinic, and a basketball coach, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Not one of the arrested has been reported as being a drag queen, which social media users instantly noted. Several accounts on Threads seemingly referenced Florida's anti-LGBTQ+ laws in response to the news, which include an attempted drag ban on the false basis that the art form is inappropriate for children.

"What - no drag queens, no immigrants that just crossed the border?" one person wrote.

A Thai woman is on the radar of authorities after her friend was spotted ferrying her pet lion cub on the streets of Pattaya in an open-roof Bentley.

A video of this excursion went viral across social media. Many people called out the pet owner for endangering the lives of others and also criticised keeping wild animals as pets. The South China Morning Post reported that the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation in Thailand zeroed in on the lion cub’s owner, a woman named Sawangjit Kosoongnern, based on the video. Sawangjit was legally allowed to keep the lion in Ratchaburi province.

She had reportedly sought permission to transfer the pet to the Chonburi province but did not receive the approval yet. “Therefore, Sawangjit did violate laws concerning the taking of a wild animal out in public and moving its location without prior permission,” said Atthaphon Charoenchansa, the department’s chief. The person driving the convertible car is Sawangjit’s friend from India.

Sawangjit can face a prison term of up to six months and/or a maximum fine of 50,000 baht.

 
 

A Texas black metal band apologized for throwing a severed pig head into the crowd during a recent concert and is taking heat from some fans — not on account of the horrific stunt, but for the apology.

The band took responsibility for the gross stunt, saying "we are incredibly sorry to anyone we offended with our actions and gimmicks on stage," according to statement to the metal news site Lambgoat. The apology went on to specifically say sorry to any vegans and Muslims in the crowd who might have been impacted by the flying pig head. And tho the Jewish religion holds the same view as Muslims do...the band said.
