btw
I don't choose favorites very well. My gut feel changes over the years...
Metropolis (remastered with added story boards and musical sound track from the 80's)
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
Appaloosa (not The Appaloosa)
One-Eyed Jacks
Fandango
Superman the Movie
Barbarosa
Kung Fu Hustle (Original subtitled version)
...and many of your choices too. Of course, some are not... Jus' sayin'
There's a lot of good quotes in that movie.RedheadedStranger » 27 Jan 2023, 8:42 pm » wrote: ↑ Barbarosa!
You're my hero man!

I have become so sick of De Niro that any thing he's in has turned to ****.RedheadedStranger » 28 Jan 2023, 2:36 pm » wrote: ↑ I would add Amadeus and The Shawshank Redemption as well.
The Outlaw Josey Wales is another good 'un.
Reservoir Dogs and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood for the Tarantino entries.
Silver Linings Playbook is another, even though it's a Weinstein film.
Too many to list!
De Niro is like the male version of Jane Fonda. I don't care for most actor's politics or opinions either, but a good movie is a good movie regardless.DeezerShoove » 28 Jan 2023, 8:59 pm » wrote: ↑ I have become so sick of De Niro that any thing he's in has turned to ****.
That **** idiot has not aged gracefully.
**** him...
I agree. Most of the time a good movie lets me see the character (not the actor).RedheadedStranger » 28 Jan 2023, 9:04 pm » wrote: ↑ De Niro is like the male version of Jane Fonda. I don't care for most actor's politics or opinions either, but a good movie is a good movie regardless.
I don't care for Mr Scientology Tom Cruise personally either, but he has some great movies. The Last Samurai comes to mind.

With De Niro it just finally became an over-exposed dickhead rambling about how bad everyone is.
He just ruined himself and all his characters for me.
Early ones aren't as affected because I still recall the characters.
Later movies are all ****...
each character he introduces into his field of work has been De Niro'd beyond repair.
Ronin is probably the last thing I recall him in that I wasn't wishing he'd get whacked immediately.
my favorite movies is...roadkill » 14 Apr 2023, 11:50 am » wrote: ↑ Not saying this is the best...but it was a funny scene...
