That costs millions, and will not stop spending.
It seems pretty clear by now that manned fighter aircraft are by definition obsolete, because drones are cheaper, and then you do not spend millions training pilots that get shot down and we have to pay pensions to their families for the next several decades.
There is a huge amount of waste in military spending.

you wanna **** bet?
Assets - Liabilities !/= Equity. That's an obscure logical sign for "must equal". And "must equal" is what is missing in Congressional budgets.BuckNaked » 03 Feb 2023, 3:50 pm » wrote: ↑ you wanna **** bet?
Fundamentally, accounting comes down to a simple equation. Assets = Liabilities + Equity.

It's a global problem. Why is Qatar so worried?nuckinfutz » 03 Feb 2023, 4:48 pm » wrote: ↑ You're Damn right there is!
The US military exists solely for the purpose of defending the US from real threats. It doesn't exist to ensure "stability" or protect "interests" or spread "freedom". It doesn't exist to uphold a "rules-based international order". That is all just progressive era nonsense. Nor does it exist to "deter" imaginary threats and enemies who never attacked us and who are nowhere near attacking us. If the US military were limited to its only legitimate purpose, US military spending would be 15% of what it is now and America would be 100 times more prosperous. US militarism is the single biggest drain on the US economy there is. Nothing else comes even close
