I haven't seen any ****-in-the-head liberals defend Biden's ****-in-the-head quote yet.

The one thing he forgot, and others probably wouldn't know, is that this O/U Beretta (and most O/U shotguns made in the last 20 years or so) has an automatic safety which engages when you push the lever to open the barrel chambers. So, if you load 2 rounds into the barrels close it and try to fire it it won't fire. You need to know how to disengage the safety and NOT get it confused with the barrel selector switch.
BTW, the automatic safety can be easily converted to a manual safety - most people who use these guns for shooting a lot of clays will do that.

The point was that, if an ordinary non-gun person followed Joe Biden's advice to use a 2-shot O/U shotgun for self-defense, they would end up dead. Nearly all of the modern ones have an automatic safety that engages and it is far from obvious that the gun won't shoot, and even less obvious as to how to disengage that safety. So, they would end up with gun that apparently won't even fire.
