Yes, women can handle them but like you said they have to learn how.  Just men do. You pick up a 12 ga with buckshot for the first time and just shoot it.

When I saw that video years ago, after Biden gave that stupid advice, I thought it was irresponsible of the guys who gave the women the guns.  It was dangerous,

A pump will kick hard too. I might do the same as you if it were a cheap pump.  Not like anything is really going to happen if she fires it and then drops it.

little thumb lever moves left or right to tip the barrels up to load and simply pull up o the end of a barrel to lock it back ready to fire. easier not faster to reload than an AR depending on the size of the magazine

My grandfather had the double barrel and one of my children has an AR. so the shotgum gets two rounds reload, depending on magazine the AR varies from 10, 20, 30 a 60 round mag is just two 30's tied together invered to one another so eject flip your wrist inject another full 30 round in less that 5 seconds.

That's a Silver Pigeon.  Mine is actually a Gold Pigeon with the "carved" relief engraving.  Some folks hate it, others love it - works the same as a Silver Pigeon though.

You are knowledgeable about guns, regardless of political affiliation.  What I want to know is if I handed you this gun, empty, how long would it take you to get a couple of shells in it and shoot an intruder with it, if you needed to.  Do you know how it operates?

Yes, the lever unlocks the receiver - this one moves to the right.

Yes, it tips the barrel chambers "up" so they can be loaded.

Yes, well, sort of - I grab the fore end with my thumb around the barrels and my other hand on the stock to hinge the receiver back into the locked position.

BUT, you forgot something.  If you shouldered the shotgun and squeezed the trigger, nothing would happen.  These shotguns have an automatic safety which engages when you push the lever to crack open the receiver.  You will need to disengage the safety to fire this gun - not intuitive. Do you happen to know where the safety is on this gun and how to disengage it?  Clue - it's easy to get confused with the barrel selector switch.

Who cares about a shoty we never seen before.

It's stupid to ask how a antique shoty works.

That Beretta Silver Pigeon is an Over/Under - double barrel, just like Joe Biden was describing.  For your information, it is not an "antique" - they are still being produced today and are quite popular.  The design is also rather modern, and surprisingly more intricate than a semi-auto.

I chose this particular shotgun because it best matches the type of shotgun Joe Biden was describing.  Interestingly, you think its an "antique" and would opt for a more "modern" shotgun, not the kind that Joe Biden says "that's all you need".  Hmmmmmmmm..........

I can't remember who made the recoil system.
I didn't know the Mossberg 500 had an adjustable recoil system, or maybe it's an add-on.  Honestly, I am not too familiar with pump-action shotguns.  I prefer semi-autos or O/U's.

I got a pump.

I don't miss at close range.
Another fail.

Oh, and one more thing, @Justthetruth  , do you have any idea how much a Beretta Silver Pigeon costs in relation to an AR-style semi-auto shotgun?  Try $2,500 for the O/U as opposed to $500 for a semi-auto AR-style shotgun.

This should further show you how out-of-touch Joe Biden is with reality.  No one is going to spend that kind of money on a double-barrel shotgun unless you are into shooting games like skeet or sporting clays, or actual pigeons.

There are "cheaper" double barrel shotguns, but you would be hard pressed to find anything that is truly affordable.  There are some that are out there, but you wouldn't know what they are!!!
