Did Joe Biden mention a "pump" shotgun?  No he didn't.  He said double-barrel.  He said it multiple times, referring to "ladies".  So, come on, what are you afraid of - walk us through how you would use this Joe-Biden authorized double-barrel shotgun.

Well, you failed.  Not just because you can't figure out what this thread is actually about and why it is relevant to Joe Biden, but BECAUSE YOU SAID "SHOTY". 

Calling a shotgun a "shoty" is epic fail. If you don't understand that, and don't know why, you are a lost little puppy.  
 

FYI - so far, @Nostradamus' omh  gave me the closest thing to a correct answer (surprisingly succinct, I might add).  He missed a key factor in making the thing work, especially in a self-defense situation, but all in all, not bad.

It's not a "typical double barrel shotgun".....it's an Over Under.....

It's largely a vanity piece....it isn't great for self defense because

you gotta "break" them to load..

you gotta be steady enough to slip the shells into the "breach"

Too tight a choke and your margin for error shrinks....

then you gotta hope the f..ing thing works


but they're expensive, and hardly something you'd buy to use to sweep your hallway of vermin....
