IN parts of the country I lived in he would have been shot by the father.

He really needs to be careful though.  He lives in NH, a constitutional carry state and is one of the top states for laxest gun laws.

As a matter of fact, I advise ANYONE who is looking for a firearm to go to a shop with a range and shoot a variety of weapons and talk it over with the instructors and sales people.

I didn't buy the gun for self defense...I bought it to shoot birds...

I had hunted a couple of times before, with borrowed or rented guns, and for some reason had knocked down enough birds to make myself believe it could be done.

Then I was invited to go dove hunting in Mexico....the Style Manual calls for a classic over under...so I bought a "brescian" (ask Skans).

That was a mistake, as was my assumption. Doves haul ***, and I wasn't hitting many..

That's when I found out.
