It's not my fault. You danced with the devil.
Not me.
I would've certainly spent every penny I had and bought stock in Amazon.
Would I do that? Not no, but HELL NO!Skans » 01 Feb 2023, 4:58 pm » wrote: ↑ Would you take this deal? So, which of you would take this deal?
- You could go back in time and be 18 years old, and retain your knowledge of everything you learned up to this point in your life.
- You get to relive your life, but not only that, you get to use the information you have at this time, even in the past. For example, you could play the stock market knowing what you know now, but back whenever you were 18 - to whatever age you are now. Or, make different personal choices, etc.
- There's no "gotcha's" - you don't have to sell your soul and nothing "bad" will necessarily happen to you. However, you will have to live with your new decisions, choices and consequences.
- Once you go back, your life will go by in real time - there's no jumping forward or back again - this is your one "do-over", but everything gets done over and it is doubtful that things will end up exactly the same as your life is right now.
- As an added bonus, if you are presently 70 years old for example (or whatever age you are), this would (potentially) give you 52 more years of life (in addition to whatever you've still got left). So, the older you are, you're sort of cheating death!
Of course, and you might become quite rich. But, would you take the deal?ScottMon » 01 Feb 2023, 5:07 pm » wrote: ↑ I would've certainly spent every penny I had and bought stock in Amazon.

It seems us older guys think the same.ConsRule » 01 Feb 2023, 5:08 pm » wrote: ↑ Would I do that? Not no, but HELL NO!
I have a wonderful wife, two amazing children and three almost perfect grandchildren (at least in PawPaw's eyes). Everything I experienced in life made me the person that she was attracted to. Her being the mother of our children played a large role in who they are now. Why would I risk EVERYTHING that is really important for a crap shoot? Add to that, there is no way in hell I would want to go through many of the things in my past again that wouldn't change with the start over at 18.
I would. There's a lot of **** up **** I would fix.Skans » 01 Feb 2023, 5:08 pm » wrote: ↑ Of course, and you might become quite rich. But, would you take the deal?
Nope my soul is pure. I don't need to make a deal with the devil.
I have to live with the cards I have but There are so many times I wished I picked a different path.Justthetruth » 01 Feb 2023, 5:12 pm » wrote: ↑ Nope my soul is pure. I don't need to make a deal with the devil.
God will carry me home.

Even if you get to keep your soul (intact) and accepting the deal would have no impact one way or another on whether you shall remain in God's grace?Blackvegetable » 02 Feb 2023, 9:57 am » wrote: ↑ There is no charmed life or fortune for which I would give back The Beast.
