You have free will to choose to answer it or not.  I have read all of the answers and find them quite interesting.  To be fair, I even answered it myself.  But, if you are offended by it, or fear the answer might reveal something to a part of you that you keep closed off, or to others, then don't answer it.

Irrelevant.  Clearly this is not an exercise in reality.  If you thought it was, then you are mistaken.

All  of this is highly speculative and pure conjecture on your part.  But, even more so, it is completely irrelevant.  This is far from an exercise in how time travel might work.

More irrelevant speculation.  I would be more than glad to discuss time-travel paradoxes in another thread, but that's not what this is about.

Writers, good ones anyway, effectively use time travel to explore a particular aspect of the human condition.  If I want to know more about the technical feasibility or impossibility of time travel, I would dedicate my life to studying quantum mechanics. The question I asked was a metaphysical one, not intended to solicit theories about  quantum mechanics.

While not relevant to the discussion, I do not believe that time exists.  It is an imaginary measurement construct of humans. It is nothing more than one aspect of our incomplete way of attempting to describe how things happen in relation to other things.

I am disheartened by the fact that you, an educator, seem to completely misunderstand what good science fiction is really all about.
On the contrary, good Sci-Fi is precisely about speculation involving phenomena that we have not been able to analyze because of what we do not understand about how the universe functions.

You lack the imagination to speculate about such things.

Man's foremost disaster in declining life
Is a bouncing beauty as a second wife.
But though this warning's oft-told and well,
The news had failed to reach poor Hans Carvel.

Her name was Meg. The wedding quickly drew
The local studs, who, jammed into every pew
Ogled with the bold, appraising air
Of fruit stall buyers at a market fair.

Hands off sir, please don't pinch those pretty plums -
Why, if looks were pinches and eyes grew thumbs,
Ripe, blooming Meg would soon have been abused,
Her melons, peaches, and cheeries sadly bruised;

The bridegroom, even as he pledged his vow
Felt horns a-sprouting from his fevered brow.
Once home, he issued certain rigid rules:
No coquetry with gallants or such fools;

No secret vistis, no revealing gowns,
No wandering unescorted about the town:
Her bible reading, sewing, and pious deeds
Are all a well-bred house wife wants or needs.

Sad to say, his preaching moved her not:
Meg listened, nodded, and as soon forgot.
And in the days that followed, she persued
Whatever light diversions siezed her mood:

To dance at balls, play cards, to promenade -
To smiles and flirt with men quite unafraid.
Poor Hans grew melancholic, for his part,
Developed ulcers and a broken heart.

Then one night when company had come to dine,
Hans soothed his fears in quantities of wine.
At last, meg bore him toddering off to bed,
Sighed as he snored, and covered up her head.

Then while in sodden dream, old Hans Carvel
Conjured a smiling devil out of hell;
"I know you troubles, friend, but here's a charm,"
The demon said, "to keep your wife from harm."

"Here, slip your finger in this pretty ring,
And while you wear it, never fear a thing."
Hans put it on - Meg awakened with a start,
With angry looks and agitated heart,

She cried, "You drunken fool, how do you DARE
To THRUST your BEASTLY finger GOD KNOW WHERE?!"

That poem by Jean de la Fontaine is from memory - committed thereto, along with many others, for my amusement.

I can explicate Shakespeare, critiquing his princes from the perspective of a Machiavellian and his courtiers from the perspective of a Castiglionean.

Poetry was never my strong suit.   All that sing-songy rhyming and flowery language.  Do you know what is curious about your Fontaine Poem?  It was written by a Frenchman in English. The French just don't do such a thing!  So, which noble Englishman was he poking fun at?

I cannot answer your question - though I have little doubt there is an answer. But to your observation, yes - THAT is the measure of a polyglot. The ability to write poetry in a non-native tongue. Indeed, it could be argued the man had more than one native tongue. I can manage unnuendo in Spanish - but I could never write a poem beyond the rudiments.

The educated French were adept at writing and speaking English, although they thought of it as you do Ebonics. So, when a Frenchman writes a sing-songy, rather crude and base poem such as that one, I can assure you that "Meg" and her husband were people good 'ol Fontaine liked about as much as I like Jill and Joe Biden.

I can write a poem of any specification on any topic. I am a prodigious wordsmith.

You do realize that the phrase "cum drain" does not make any sense.  By the strictest of definitions, my cock is a "cum drain".

You made a post a few moments ago about critical thinking, see you don't have any either. any orifice the ejaculate drains out of after the penis is removed.

Damn, what wit are you? dim, nit, half, ****, mid? All my 6 senses are paying atention to my 7th degree of mutually displaced now.

Oh to measure that gibberish I created a graph of my own. https://i.postimg.cc/FRHMp2RC/Picture-173.jpg

How my brain navigates the philosophy of think outside self contained by my own skin and psychology of 6 degrees of social deflection going on historically since dawn of civilization corrupting each great great grandchild ever evolved into 1 of 16 dead great great grandparent generation gaps lived so far leaving 4 more generation gaps behind after dead.

those that have and those that never did. Binary code of 0 or 1 compounding details for next rotation by contracting results never the same in this rotation.

Eternal separation in plain sight. All kinetically going on here without a reasonable doubt.

over estimating yourself, You are just a character among self typecast people that won't allow everyone to accept life in real time.. You project life is a mystery tour and it never was. That is where all the ridiculing I get comes from family, friends, all the separate we, they, them, those collectives do with each other to sustain reasonable doubt.

I don't like corruption calling dishonesty a greater good. So it never is you personally, but the social justification you hide behind. I know kinetical real eternally separated evolving now and hypothetical alternate reality and parallel universe from one another as an intellectual space time continuum.

Nobody likes being told they don't know what they navigate in real time by relative time statistics ignoring 90% of everything working spontaneously separated simultaneously here.

Passive aggressives love to get people frustrated and become angry just by wordplay. they feel so in control while gave away control of themselves first.
