He simply cut them from all federal contracts if they did not comply.

I never did anything I didn't want to do.  I was absolutely NOT coerced to get vaccinated.  I listened to the scientists and I listened to my own personal physician who was aware of my own personal medical history and I made an informed decision to get vaccinated AND I HAVE NEVER REGRETTED IT FOR A MOMENT.  My cousin got vaccinated.. her husband got vaccinated... they both had mild cases of COVID and were back at work in less than a week.  Her son was an election denying, MAGA hat wearing, scrotum sucker like YOU and he categorically REFUSED to get vaccinated even though he was diabetic,  and overweight.  He got COVID, and, as I said earlier, the last thing he said before they put him on the ventilator that he never came off of was that he may have made a big mistake.  And then he died.  Stupid moron. Even though he did indeed spawn three offspring, it seems as if he were a gene pool outlier in that all of his adult children willingly got the vaccine as did his wife, and they are all just fine.

At 72 I don't believe I have had the flu since I was in my 30s or 40s and I've never had any vaccine after childhood vaxxes. A lifetime of exposure to bugs trained my immune system for battle. Even Omicron, the Christmas before last, was just a nose cold (though it might not have even been Omicron since I wasn't tested).

I have a dear dear first cousin of mine who had an only son who was a election denier and an anti-vaxxer.  He had a lovely wife and three lovely kids... and he got COVID and... right before they hooked him up to the ventilator that he never got off of, he admitted that, maybe he'd made a mistake... and then he died.  And my dear sweet cousin is still just totally distraught.

I agree...there is something to that...my dr would always chuckle along with his "I'm required to ask, do you want the flu shot?" knowing full well I've never had one...and I don't get the flu either...we have T-cellls for a reason...use them...

well, that's water over the dam...I do sense you never did like him for whatever reasons...and just to be clear, people have different reasons...my doc for 30 yrs asked if I wanted a flu shot...always shot it down...even when I was a staunch DFLer...

I know a few people who are hardcore anti vax.  But it isn’t just the breadwinner.  It is also the spouse.

Clearly, you've never served in the military.  Uncle Sugar is not a gay term, it is a term of affection that military personnel use to refer to the guy who pays us.

I never really got a change to know him very well, but we were facebook friends, and I did meet him and his wife and kids at his grandmother's (my aunt's) funeral.  He seemed like a really great Dad and seemed to have a really wonderful relationship with him wife and his mom.

The DFL will always welcome you back, you know!

Far from "lower class", some would say that the professional career officer corps of the US Military is, and has always been downright patrician!
