Well that is just the human condition and the unfortunate nature of power. War is never pleasant but the usa does it quite a lot...often when it isn't even any of our business imo (like when we fight in the middle east). I am actually opposed to all the unnecessary wars the us enters. But when war is necessary you should have the stomach for it...else you simply have to accept being enslaved and weak.roadkill » 12 Feb 2023, 4:03 pm » wrote: ↑ I understand what yer saying...but I'm not on board with an iron fist. That's just one of the rubs for me.

Well the fact you cannot trust men is kinda the reason government is necessary in the first place, lol. And it goes without saying that someone is going to have power ultimately. If you are too 'nice' to not seek power, then this is simply the same as giving it to an evil person.roadkill » 12 Feb 2023, 4:27 pm » wrote: ↑ You make some fair points. Free reign? Lol I am not trying to become dictator. I'm just trying to approach problems rationallyroadkill » 12 Feb 2023, 5:48 pm » wrote: ↑ I disagree. Respectfully. Don't think you have free reign with those of us who don't want the "fist".

Hitler was a hero to a country decimated by a WW, hyperinflation and complete anarchy with 9 political parties vying for power...with which he gained power, turning their economy around and becoming a military juggernaut...and subsequently went off the deep end...roadkill » 11 Feb 2023, 7:44 pm » wrote: ↑ Maybe the German people who followed Hitler were stupid...and selfish.

The lecture snippet makes no sense. Germany was in horrible ruins after WW I. The Nazi leadership resurrected the country’s economy and spirit, despite world condemnation and boycotts. Camp laborers is a documented historical fact, and yet this pop psychologist professor rabidly spews afternoon tv theology.roadkill » 11 Feb 2023, 7:38 pm » wrote: ↑ Maybe Hitler was the disloyal one in some cases?
