The stance by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on face masks has taken many twists and turns throughout the COVID pandemic.
After initially claiming face coverings weren’t necessary, the CDC changed course in April 2020, calling on all Americans — even children as young as 2 years old — to mask up.

That September, then-CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield said during a Senate hearing that "face masks are the most important powerful health tool we have," even suggesting that they might offer more protection than vaccines.

 COVID-19'S LASTING IMPACT: 'LESS ATTRACTIVE' PEOPLE WEAR MASKS MORE OFTEN THAN OTHERSThose recommendations likely played a large part in 39 U.S. states eventually enacting mask mandates.

 Now, a new scientific review suggests that widespread masking may have done little to nothing to curb the transmission of COVID-19.

Next, the review compared medical/surgical masks to N95 respirators (or P2 respirators, which are used in Europe).
It found that "wearing N95/P2 respirators probably makes little to no difference in how many people have confirmed flu (five studies; 8407 people); and may make little to no difference in how many people catch a flu-like illness (five studies; 8407 people), or respiratory illness (three studies; 7799 people)."

The ineffectiveness of masks against viruses has been known to science for 50 years. There is COPIOUS peer reviewed literature on the subject.

That's likely why the boxes the masks come in have the disclaimer, "Not effective against viruses."

Exactly. Microns. Since I was involved in the medical field for 24 years, laboratory and microbiology included, the first thing on my list after hearing about the mask **** was to research the average size of the virus. Even if mask fabric slows down some viruses or even stops them as a barrier, untold millions of COVID viruses are entering or exiting through the tiniest of breaks in the mask seal around the face. 

It only takes ONE virus to cause disease. 

In my town, we can spot a frightened liberal/democrat lemming in a heartbeat. They wear a mask while driving alone in their Prius. Truth.

Your exhalations are vaporous, and they contain mucous and particulate. This creates a vapor barrier on the INSIDE of your masks. Notice that people wash their cloth masks at the end of the day? Why do they do that?

It's because the mask is **** nasty. Here - let's pretend. Okay, you and your buddy both wear a mask for four hours. Then your buddy says, I like your red mask better than my purple mask. And you say, I like your color better. Do y'all switch?

Why not? Do you suppose it would be smart? Good for your health?

Masks **** the wearer RITA (Right In The ***). Simple logic gets clouded by emotion when politics enter the equation, or when bowing low to experts enters the equation.

All I know is; that I haven't had a cold, covid or flu in over 5 years and I mask up even today!
And I get my flu shot.
But I am at HIGH RISK so I have to be very carefull!
