as far as why so many fathers and mothers were put in prison was because of biden's crime bill in the 70's.

Yes, the pardon was for Federal convictions only, and doesn't address State level charges at all.

While not actually springing anyone from prison, it did clean up their records a bit... especially the few that only had the Federal charge(s) in their jacket.

It was, by and large, much ado about nothing just the same.

There are still people sitting in prison on State marijuana convictions though... and from what I understand, even in States where weed is legal now, which is asinine.

In the Southern States it's still illegal, just like it is on the Federal level.

What you should be advocating for is to release of the people in the legal States that are doing time on weed charges.
