even saying inside and outside, that makes 12 not 8

I compare simple compounding DNA by rule of 72 and you define life by statistical averages.

I read this discussion about the sides of a cube and I get the now is eternity way of counting.. I think... lol... but shouldn't it be 7 sides in that case, 1 inside and 6 outside, the outside behind the 6 outer faces isn't part of the cube...

The "Rule of 72" deals with compounding interest. It has nothing to do with geometry.  It has nothing to do with genetics.
To state that a cube has 6 sides is not a definition of life, nor does it have anything to do with statistical averages.

Yes, that's what I meant, the 8th is beyond the surface of the 6 sides so it isn't part of the cube and you shouldn't count it... so it's 7, not 8 sides...

 




 
 

There are surely simplistic thinkers that would claim that a cube has two sides: inside and outside.
but they are simple minded.

If you are strange, and count the insides of each side as well as the outside, then there are twelve sides:
six outside sides and six inside sides. But if you look at a cube, you cannot see the inside sides.
If you add the outside sides to the insides sides, there are 12 sides, and the average of 6Xi plus 6X1 divided by two is six.

undeniable is still not actual results. Undeniable is still filled with doubt so you are inerror by your own reasonable doubt mantra.
