Every time there's a Republican president, the Fiscal Conservatives go silent.  But when there's a Democratic President, They cry out that the government is spending too much money.  Thing is, Democrats have a track record of reducing the deficit and Republicans have a history of ramping it up.  Reagan is a good example.  He ramped up the deficit by 184%.  

Democrats have a habit of overspending with all their pork projects... you really need to stop lying shilly.

I consistently beat the "cut spending drum"...regardless of who controls Congress. Both parties spend way too much money. It's a politician problem...not a political party problem.

I criticized much of the covid stimulus which led to a lot of the spending.  People like my wife and I who did not lose our jobs, still got paid, and made well above the cap did not need that money.  It should have been reserved for those who lost their jobs and had mouths to feed.

Who is it that misinformed you by telling you it was the president who had the power of the purse?

You want to be taken seriously?  Give the comparisons of which party spent more money when they controlled Congress AND the presidency, since the president can veto it.
