The gubment, in all their glory, has perpetuated the degradation. While I agree, there are people in need, they've made it so there are generations of lazy unproductive people with the answer is to throw more money at them. Our education system has failed miserably...we are producing more idiots than ever before. They leave school with zero life skills, can hardly read or write or balance a checkbook...

Technology is a double edged sword...with each generation, the drugs have become more powerful, cheaper and a cornucopia of variety enhancing the criminal element and cash flow. The internet has become the bane of society. While it's great for resourcing, the social part is a detriment. People can say whatever they want without ramifications...now step out into the real world, they say the same ****, someone's feelings get bent, and their first move is to kill..whatever happened to a good old knockdown, drag out schoolyard brawl to "settle our differences"? Now the answer is to destroy them publicly or kill them. These are the snowflakes.

The mental state of kids these days are definitely in peril. The latest report shows how bad it really is... Half of them are depressed with a quarter thinking about suicide... what. the. ****.
Very well said.

Kids today don't know how to handle adversity. Their solution to life kicking them in the balls is to curl up in the fetal position and give up.

It's how they were raised.

Sure... he's only been a career politician in DC for 50+ years.

If that's not living in a bubble, I don't know what is.

If we really are as bad as you say, then I wasn't far from wrong yesterday when I posted, "Après nous, le déluge", was I?
Like I said, I don't know that we can fix it at this point. The collapse may be imminent... but it certainly doesn't mean we don't keep trying. Does it?

You don't.

The **** you spew reflects no thought.

As evidenced by your stubborn unwillingness to recognize your hypocrisy.

"I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK?" Trump remarked at a campaign stop at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. "It's, like, incredible."

Again... the conversation you stumbled into has NOTHING to do with Donald Trump you idiot.

Are you really that self absorbed?

Nevermind... I already know the answer to that.

The **** you spew is what others thought possible if everyone just ignored what isn't going to happen. Evolving doesn't exceed the time each reproduciton has living in the moment here specifically occupying space as ancestrally displaced now.

theories and theologies weren't invented to discover self evident results.

....which brings us back to the question of what we do?  Is the only answer a mass awakening of parental awareness and a concurrent mass assumption of firmer, less coddling parenting, or is there some way that society, through government and schools, can assist parents in some substantive, effective way?

Government schools are part of the problem, not the solution.

It has to be grass roots, which is starting to happen... only we now have a governing body that wants to label concerned parents as "domestic terrorists" and are trying to shut them down.

The Government has been raising our children for far to long, and it needs to stop. The fruits of their involvement are what we're seeing in society today.

why signalling out parental awareness, for every parent there are more siblings never had children. what about sibling of grandparent generation only been aunts or uncles never leaving cousins to parents 2nd cousins to grandchildren.

Society caters to those that never reproduced dictating next generations what they have to do for previous generations getting to old to care for themselves.

Stop petending there are three time zones to evolving forward now. Past develops into current events that change total sum here forward all the time.

Evolving in real time adapting to the moment by exact numbers occupying space now. What makes self evident, self evident to each in their own skin.

some kids might seem to have one very harmless intent (hunting with their uncle after school, for example) and actually have a much more sinister intent.

I can honestly say that I do not remember ANY school shootings when I was growing up.

I don't think the government raises any kid without the acquiescence of the parent.

I don't think YOU let them raise YOUR kids and I certainly didn't let them raise mine.

Nor do I.
I only recall the one in which a crazed ex-Marine positioned himself in the Bell Tower at the U of Texas, and murdered 14 people and wounded even more on August 1, 1966.

Congress should have ended the sale of military rifles on August 2nd. Too bad,Nixon was in office at the time and nothing was done other than the usual thoughts and prayers.

Now it is too late, there are way too many guns
