Hello friend,Huey » 23 Feb 2023, 12:41 pm » wrote: ↑ Even it was the brakes the rule Trump got rid off did not apply to this train:
However, even if this safety rule had still been in effect, it would not have applied to the Norfolk Southern train that derailed in East Palestine, because it was not categorized as a high-hazard cargo train.
Although the Norfolk Southern train contained hazardous materials, including vinyl chloride, it did not meet the Department of Transportation’s narrow definition of a high-hazard flammable unit train in that it didn’t have at least 70 cars containing flammable materials, such as crude oil or ethanol. The chemicals it was carrying fall into a different classification not included in this definition.

Reminder, Ray, aka Clevelandsteamer died trying to extinguish the wheel bearing fire on this train. Moderator @Misty claims it was Trumps fault.
It was a wheel bearing failure.
Friend, keep this in mind when using the 104 GREENIES Ray left for you.

There is even video of one of the cars on fire 20 miles away from where it derailed.
You would think someone would have noticed and called it in huh?

This has been a problem for many years. The packing around the wheel bearings comes lose, the bearing gets hot from friction and the whole journal box catches fire. It is the responsibility of the railroad to see that the journal boxes are in working order. It is absurd to blame the Secretary of Transportation.
