In forty years I never tried to have anyone expelled for "conservative thought" I never had any clue as to what the political beliefs of my students were. I did not ask, they did not tell me.
On one occasion, I was hired as a permanent sub for some HS classes to replace a teacher who had quit because of a nervous breakdown.
There were six periods per day. The last class of the day there was a student who popped in 20 minutes after the class had started with a balloon filled with hydrogen sulfide.
I just pooped into the class shirtless and barefooted and popped his balloon and started running about the room. Later I learned that he was the reason for the previous teacher had a nervous breakdown.
So I went to the principal and told him that I wanted this kid (he was a HS sophomore) removed from the class, and if I saw him again, I would walk out the door and never return.
Which is what the principal eventually did.
If you think that college teachers actually do what you claim, you are simply nuts.
