Years ago, a local burg drained some wetlands for development....the USACE came down on them hard...they came to an agreement and set aside the equivalent amount of land in a peat bog area 70 miles north where no one lives...WTF?

Anyway, conservatives are into conservation.  Hunters, outdoorsman, fisherman, farmers, etc are all interested in the environment and conservation.
