Fugg rap. This is when I had respect for music. I liked MOTOWN as much as and more than white rock.

The black music scene has some great artists today, but the **** rap they put out today is completely foul garbage, and the words are indicative of its depravity.

Oh, how I miss Stevie Wonder, Little Richard, The Four Tops, The Dazz Band, The Isely Brothers, The 5th Dimension, Sam and Dave, Otis Redding, Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, Jimi Hendrix, The Supremes, Luis Armstrong, Marvin Gaye, and many, many others.

Does anyone dance to RAP? Naw, they jump up and down, high and out of their minds on ecstasy, crack and wait for the next gangland shooting inside the venue or when they exit.

Many talented blacks, now we have soulless, evil ***.

THIS is dance music:

I love the old vintage blues. I am always listening to those guys. Rap? Blacks don't listen to rap, but *** do. It's a perfect example proving that there is a significant difference between black people and ***.

I agreed with this part.  I admit rap isn't for me.

What do you know.
We have something in common.
1960's Motown is my jam.

Don't forget The Temptations.

I recall most all of them. Curtis Mayfield, Issaac Hayes? Sly Stone?

That's okay, we can't all be perfect.  Image

I liked the Beatles (thought they were named after a bug when I was youg...but later, it was because of their music "beat".) when I was a kid. Disliked them for decades until I found what I believe is genius in their music and lyrics. Listen to "the fool on the hill."  Image

I commend you for celebrating great artists and their music, but you paint with too broad a brush...

One of my favorites from the 70s has a classic rap bridge

A thread of "Great Motown + Most People Have Never Heard" would be a positive use of bandwidth.
